World Earth Day : An Essay by Anuska Guchhait

World Earth Day   World Earth Day is an annual event celebrated around the whole world on 22 nd April. The theme of 2021 is to “ RESTORE OUR EARTH ”. It was first celebrated in 1970 and now more than 193 countries celebrate this event. World Earth Day is celebrated to demonstrate support for the protection of our environment. It is intended to promote environmentalism. The SDGs ( Sustainable Development Goals ) are a part of Earth Day . We can also take part in this event by doing several things that will protect our environment. For example, instead of biking we can use cycle for short distances. Every year on our birthdays we can plant two to three saplings and take care of them. Thus, there are many ways through which we can contribute a little to the environment and I think we should follow these steps and make the earth a better place to live in.
