A Very Merry Christmas : Christmas Special poem by Ayesha Khan, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad, India

A Very Merry Christmas

It’s snow all around.

Christmas is on the ground.

Santa will come.

With loads of fun.

There will be decorated Christmas tree.

Everybody will be in glee.

But what if there would be no snow.

Christmas tree without a glow.

Santa with a sleigh.

But no reindeer to play.

All this will become a reality.

If no action is taken honestly.

These are the effects of climate change.

Global warming is spreading its range.

There is a solution.

In eco-friendly decorations.

Regift, Rethink and Repair.

And turn this Christmas from Red to Green, for everybody’s welfare.

SDG Story Writing Contest : SDGs by Meerab Butt, Bloomfield Hall School, Pakistan

A civilization rides on the shoulders of its youth force. And when the question is of existence or sustenance of the planet as a whole, the children and the youth of the entire world need to come together, think together and act together to make that possible. Let us read what some of them have to say to us through their stories on SDGs, ponder on what they are trying to say, act accordingly and try and change our ways of life. Perhaps this is the only way we can ensure that human civilization is not wiped out of the face of this Earth .
